RULES
Please follow these rules if you want to be a member on this site and not get into trouble every 5 minutes.
This is a site inspired by other roleplaying sites as well as my love for dragons. On this site you can talk about dragons among other things, make a dragon to play as, and make friends.
Don't Do The Following!
SWEARING
Although the swear words are currently translated into other words, the sense of trying to hurt someone is still felt. Please refrain from using swear words at all times. Frequent swearers will be warned, then banned. Any thread containing swear words will be editted so that they will no longer contain foul language.
SPAM
Please do not fill the boards with SPAM. It is annoying and can get hard to read. On this site, things like using improper grammar and punctuation, replying with a different subject to a thread, double posting (or posting twice in a row), etc. are considered SPAM. You will receive warning depending on the amount you SPAM.
GORE-OVERDOSE
Of course we wish to use blood and gore on this site, but never use it overly. Please respect the squeamish, and do not make gorey text too long, or graphic. And also, please do not make gore-scenes too unrealistic. The mythical creatures do have their limits too you know!
STAFF
Please respect the staff members. Without them this site probably wouldn't function very well. Examples of disrespecting staff are nagging them to do something and arguing against what they say. The word of the staff is rule! Then again, there can from time to time be a bad staff member. These are rare and special cases in which it is the staff disrespecting a member. In this case the member wont be warned, but the staff may be, and might even be demoted.
ADVERTISING
Please do not advertise anywhere but in the Advertising board. The board was made for that so don't clog up the rest of the site with stuff that doesn't belong.
POWERPLAYING/GOD-MODDING
We do not tolerate these things. Powerplaying is when you control someone elses character. God-modding is when you 'act like a god', an example would be a hatchling flying or fighting and winning with bigger dragons. Also, please try not to mini-mod, moderating a site that you are not a mod on.
PLAGERISM
If you claim an image/passage of text as your own, when it isn't, you are plagerising. Plagerists are not welcome on this forum, and will recieve a warning, then a ban. If a thread is found, containing plagerised content, than that thread will be modifyed by a fellow member of staff.
About the Roleplaying of this Site!
In the IC part of this site you can play as dragons. There are currently only 4 groups: Fire, Air, Water, and Earth. There will be more added later. You can also have Stray Dragons that live alone or Soft Dragons that live with people as pets.
RANKS: These are the ranks that a dragon has in a group.
Egg- Dragons lay eggs. The egg tells a lot about how your dragon is going to be. For example, if there is an egg that is a soft blue, it could mean that the dragon is going to be a bit shy. The baby dragons will also have similar coloring to their eggs.
Hatchling- Aww... A cute baby dragon. From when the dragon hatches out of an egg, until it can fend for itself (which is after about 8 years) it is considered a hatchling. Hatchlings don't have wings and need an element to survive. (ex. dragons from the water group must have water). Hatchlings have "the hatchling" added to their name, although this is not commonly used.
Fledgling- A young dragon learning about lore, hunting, fighting, etc. is considered a fledgling. Fledglings start to grow wings and learn flight as one of their teachings. They are considered about 8 to 16 or 18 years old, or until they are ready to become full members of their group. Will get "the fledgling" added to their name.
Hunter/Battler/Flyer/Collector: These are the adult rankings that Fledgling can become once they have completed training. Hunters focus on catching prey. Battlers protect other dragons. Flyers are spies and carry messages. And Collectors collect minerals that are needed for eggs to hatch and hatchlings to survive.
Broody: These are female dragons that are expecting eggs or caring for hatchlings.
Healer: There is usually one healer and her fledgling per group. Healers know what herbs and minerals can be used to heal others. They are peaceful and do not believe in war. They can also receive omens and prophecies from their ancestors.
Senior: Seniors are chosen by the Master to help out with duties in the group. There is usually one for each adult type of dragon.
Master: Masters are the leaders of the groups. There is one master per group, leading the group with the help of seniors and sometimes a mate.
Ancient One- Aincient Ones are retired members of a Group. A dragon may retire due to age or physical disability.
RELIGION
All 4 groups believe that the stars in the night sky are their ancestors. They call them the Plains of Endless Burning. Healers can communicate with them on occasion.
SCALES
There are group gatherings held every 2 years or so. It is a time of truce when each Master gets the chance to make announcements about how it has been going in their groups.
Healers also have gatherings every other year, when they go to a sacred place to communicate with the dragons of the Plains of Endless Burning.
AGING
Each in-game year is about a month, although you can age your dragons faster than this. All the numbers in these rules are based on in game time.
