Hiding in plain sight

[Draconic History]

Sharpfang cautiously stuck his head out the small hole in the top of the small nook he had found in the coral. He had been chasing a fish when it swam in here. The fish had gotten away through a small hole in the back. Seeing no dragons, he swam out the larger entrance and started out of the complex of coral.

Aquaflow had been in the bubble fountain at the time. She was a bit slower than usual, and smiled. She made a clumsy loop-the-loop, passing right by the coral. She came to a stumbling stop when she spotted the other dragon. "Hi Sharpfang. Whats up?" She asked.

Sharpfang cursed himself for his lack of attentiveness. He usually found ways to avoid other dragons. Oh well, he would just go with the flow. He replied, "Um. Nothing much." He shot through his head for something else to say. Coming up blank, he simply said, "What have you been doing lately?" He wasn't sure he really wanted to know, but he didn't know what else to say.

[Stealthy]

Aquaflow giggled. "I've been swimming around." She said, avoiding the direct subject. She noticed that Sharpfang had been trying to hide and she was a bit shy herself. The things that had happened over the last couple of days had changed her slightly, but deep inside, she was still the same.

Sharpfang felt his personality begin to open back up a little. The conversation was getting to him. He stated, "Some of the better tasting fish are returning. I was just chasing one, but I need to get used to their speed again." He twitched his wings to halt the forward motion that had remained unchecked for several minutes. He reached up with his tail and scratched his chin. He couldn't remember when he had started that habit. For the sake of his next hunt he asked, "Have you seen any of the larger, slower species of food fish? I haven't." At his admittance of failure in his area of expertise, his voice dropped a little.

Aquaflow swam clumsily, as if she was heavy. "I can't seem to catch those fast fish this season. I saw one slow one though." She said happily. She hadn't caught any fish that day, she seemed to slow and clumsy, despite her usual elegance.

Sharpfang got much more excited at Aquaflow's mention of a slow fish. He eagerly said, "Could you tell me where it is? I would try to make sure you got first dibs on food from the next few hunts. Catching a nice fish can enable someone to do that, ya know." He was scanning the waters nearby to see if any were in the area.

[Stealthy]

Aquaflow thought for a minute. "It was in the algae forest." She said. She was falling behind, and clumsily propelled herself forward. "I was looking for herbs, and there he was!" She said, trying to swim backwards but failing.

[Draconic History]

"Do you feel like trying to catch it? I've got nothing better to do." Sharpfang wasn't sure if he could catch it by himself, as he was out of practice. He was sure he could catch it if he had help.

[Stealthy]

Aquaflow shrugged. "I tried to catch one yesterday without much luck." She said, not adding that it had been due to clumsiness. "But we could try." She said, trying again to swim backwards.

[Draconic History]

"Ok, lead the way then." Sharpfang meant it. He didn't know where the fish had been. He was ready to hunt anytime.

[Stealthy]

Aquaflow nodded and slowly lead the way to the algae forest. She made a slight miss-swim and bumped into a peice of coral. She felt embarrassed, but kept going. She lead the way to the shallow part of the algae forest. "Keep your eyes open, their here." She said quietly.

Sharpfang clicked his tounge thrice to show that he understood. He swam behind her, and had acted like he hadn't seen her hit a piece of coral.

Aquaflow suddenly saw a slow flicker of movement out of the corner of her eye. She pointed slowly with her wing to show Sharpfang.
