Thicklight was laying beside the Lava River. He just sat there staring into the flaming water that was melted rock. He wasn't a collector, but he was organizing his thoughts. He had not had much to do, therefore, he had a lot to do in his head.

Rubyrise was finally well enough to venture out of Cinder Cone. One of her favorite places, besides the Ruby Rose, was the Lava River. When she got there, she saw another dragon, and decided to not disturb him. Landing a ways up river, she walked slowly towards Thicklight until she was only a few tail lengths away.

Barely catching the sound of someone approaching, Thicklight turned his head to see the oncoming dragon. His mind was still murky so he didn't recognise Rubyrise right away. Sitting up, he arched his back, stretching, a little. Then, he said, "Hello." He couldn't think of much to say other than that. But then, he went on and said, "What brings you out here?"

Rubyrise shrugged, and sat down next to Thicklight. "I've been to injured to leave for a few years now. I decided I'd come out an look around." She said, staring into the ever changing patterns in the lava.

"Ah. I was just organizing my thoughts. Nothing much else to do." Thicklight replied. Then he shifted his gaze from the river to Rubyrise. Since she seemed to be watching the lava, he turned his view back to it.

Rubyrise giggled slightly. "I've been working on the ruby since I got injured. It was pretty fun actually." She said, almost seeing herself sliding down a freshly carved red petal in the lava. "I don't have many thoughts, so I just worked to pass the time." She added. It was true. Although she didn't have such a large tolerance for leadership, and was one of the more attractive dragons in FireGroup, the only thoughts she had were worries about her new scars.

"That seems like a good way to pass the time." Thicklight was being perfectly honest. He continued to watch the lava, noticing a slightly darker spot that seemed to look like a dragon. He dismissed it as a figment of his imagination. He shrugged.

With a sudden burst of energy, Rubyrise shot into the air and landed on the other side a few seconds later. Letting her tail touch the lava for a little bit, she got a little glowwing ember on the end of it. Flying through the air, she amused herself by drawing things with the little light she now carried.

Thicklight was startled by her sudden movements. He watched her antics, chuckling as she started to doodle mid-air. He didn't move, but kept watching Rubyrise flying around.

Rubyrise, being a battler, wasn't fast enough to make anything to intricate. First, she made a flower, that hovered in the air for a while before disappearing. Next, she drew something that resembled a diamond, which faded faster than the flower did. Going back to the river, she picked up more lava and continued drawing.

Thicklight continued to watch her making simple shapes in the air so he didn't say anything. He thought the designs in the air were good. Of course, he didn't say anything, as he didn't think she would hear, and he wasn't the kind of person to join in.

Rubyrise was beginning to get bored with the simple figures. 'Reloading' her tail again, she zoomed into the air and tried her luck at drawing the Ruby Rose as she imagined it when it would be finished. It would have been a beautiful drawing had it not faded so quickly, yet she was still proud of it.

Thicklight was amazed at Rubyrise's latest design. He wasn't exactly sure what it was of course. If she had landed he would've asked, but she hadn't so he just sat there, staring at the place it had been.

Rubyrise was getting a bit tired by now, so she used up the last of the lava glow on her tail by drawing a little plant of some sort. After that, she landed and started brushing the dried lava off her tail.

Now that she was done, Thicklight walked over to Rubyrise. Then, he asked, "What was the design right before the last small one?It was good." He didn't have anything else to say.
