Ok - first of all to understand this you are required to read the descriptions of each place. That is the whole start of how to picture it.
Now here is what it is intended to look like.
The grey circles are stalagmites and/or stalagtites
The darker part behind the hole, is shown to suggest its deeper underground
The pile of colours in the back of the hole is the supply of herbs (yep i know it looks tiny XD)
The mouth of the cave is also the end of a waterfall, so thats why there's water there
The green stuff on the rock is moss, as you should have found out from the description
